Scotdesco Art and Pottery

The development of Scotdesco Art Is supported by talented Art mentors Janine Gray and Glenette Miller, Janine and Glenette encourage younger community members and visiting school groups to learn the skills of painting.  Visitors to the community are welcome to watch artists paint and talk with them about the artwork.

Scotdesco has been supported by Country Arts SA and Pam Diment from the Ceduna Arts and Culture Centre to develop pottery and ceramic skills which have added more fantastic art to the Scotdesco Gallery collection. Artist have developed some unique pottery techniques and are competent at firing up the kiln to finish off their product.  

The Pottery workshops run by Pam have been well received with community members keen to improve their sculpting skills and try new techniques and Pam has supported Scotdesco artists to teach pottery skills to younger people and local school groups. As a result of these workshops Glenette Miller from Scotdesco sold all entered pieces of work in the recent Our Mob exhibition.
